Joshua D. Cameron is Director of the Notre Dame Turbomachinery Laboratory (NDTL), a world-class gas turbine component testing and research facility in downtown South Bend, Indiana.
Cameron joined the University of Notre Dame in 2008 as a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. He was instrumental in the development of the NDTL, managing its design and construction. He was appointed director in 2014. He oversees the operation of four turbomachinery test cells, manages annual research expenditures, and develops the long-term vision and plan for NDTL’s growth. He also manages and directs three testing facilities on the Notre Dame campus.
Cameron is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and the American Physical Society.
